TL;DR

We don't collect anything. Roampal runs 100% locally on your machine. No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking. Your data never leaves your computer.

Data Storage

All Roampal data is stored locally on your device in:

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Roampal\data\
• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Roampal/data
• Linux: ~/.local/share/roampal/data

This includes:

• Conversation history
• Memory banks
• Uploaded documents
• User preferences
• All AI interactions

Network Activity

Roampal communicates only with:

• Ollama (localhost) - For running AI models locally
• ChromaDB (localhost) - For vector storage

No external servers. No cloud services. No data transmission.

Third-Party Services

The Roampal website (roampal.ai) uses standard web hosting, but the application itself has:

• ❌ No Google Analytics
• ❌ No tracking cookies
• ❌ No error reporting services
• ❌ No telemetry of any kind

Payment Processing

Purchases are handled by Gumroad. We receive only:

• Email address (for delivery)
• Purchase confirmation

We do not store credit card information or process payments directly.

Open Source

Roampal is open source (MIT License). You can verify everything above by reviewing the source code at github.com/roampal-ai/roampal.

Data Deletion

To delete all your data, simply delete the data folder listed above. Uninstalling Roampal does NOT automatically delete your data (to prevent accidental loss).
