1. Software License

Roampal is licensed under the MIT License:

✅ You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the software
✅ You may use it for commercial purposes
✅ The source code is available at github.com/roampal-ai/roampal

The $9.99 purchase grants you a pre-packaged executable with bundled dependencies and lifetime updates. You are not purchasing the code itself (which is freely available).

2. Alpha Software Notice

⚠️ Alpha Release: Roampal is in active development. Expect bugs, breaking changes, and incomplete features. Use at your own risk.

3. No Warranty

Roampal is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:

Data loss or corruption
System damage or performance issues
Incorrect or harmful AI-generated advice
Any consequences of using Roampal

4. AI Content Disclaimer

Do not rely on AI-generated content for:

❌ Medical, legal, or financial advice
❌ Safety-critical systems or decisions
❌ Production code without thorough review

AI models can hallucinate, make mistakes, and reflect training biases. Always verify critical information from authoritative sources.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital products and the availability of the free open-source version, all sales are final. No refunds.

Try the free version from GitHub before purchasing if you're unsure.

6. System Requirements

Roampal requires:

8GB+ RAM (16GB recommended)
10GB+ free disk space
Python 3.10+ (bundled in paid version)
Ollama installed separately

We cannot guarantee compatibility with all systems.

7. Updates

Your $9.99 purchase includes lifetime updates. We reserve the right to:

Change features, architecture, or behavior
Discontinue support for older versions
End development (though code remains open source)

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

✅ Use Roampal legally and ethically
✅ Back up your data regularly
✅ Not use Roampal to generate harmful content
✅ Comply with Ollama and model provider terms

9. Third-Party Components

Roampal includes open-source dependencies (see GitHub for full list). Each has its own license. Running Roampal requires:

Ollama - Separate installation, subject to Ollama's terms
AI Models - Subject to model provider licenses (Meta, Mistral, etc.)

10. Termination

You may stop using Roampal at any time. We may refuse service or updates if you violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Check this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Roampal is developed (United States). Disputes resolved in applicable courts.
